Valerie Garcia was featured in the December 2022 issue of the Colorado Lawyer, the official publication of the Colorado Bar Association (CBA). Each issue of the Colorado Lawyer features a member of the CBA in the member spotlight section, “Under Oath,” and this month highlighted Valerie. Valerie’s spotlight touches on the best advice she was given, the most positive experience she has had as an attorney, and her favorite travel spot. As to why she became a lawyer, Valerie said, “I never thought about going to law school until I worked as a secretary in the public defender’s office. Watching other lawyers, I realized this was something I could do. I had great mentors and role models who encouraged me along the way.”
