Paralegal

Crystal Montgomery-Kaler has over 27 years of experience in the legal field.  As a civil litigation paralegal, Crystal assists with a wide variety of practices including insurance defense, transportation, commercial, product liability, professional liability, construction, real estate, personal injury, insurance bad faith, medical malpractice, and wrongful death.  She is also experienced in family law, trusts and estates, class actions, dram shop, and criminal matters.

She manages and assists with all phases of case development and document management from the onset of litigation through trial and the appeal process, including performing investigative research, extensive review of medical, billing, and financial records, client interaction, witness interviews, expert preparation, and drafting all forms of pleadings, discovery requests and responses, briefing, and timelines.  Crystal has an extensive knowledge of medical records, medical coding, and medical terminology.

Crystal has assisted with numerous hearings and trials in city, state, and federal courts across Montana and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, including assistance and strategy during voir dire, witness and expert preparation, exhibits management, jury research, and the use of trial software during case presentation, while coordinating the constant moving parts of a trial.
