It is with mixed emotions we announce that Thomas J. Lyons is retiring from the practice of law after a 43-year career. Tom joined Hall & Evans 30 years ago and his well-deserved retirement will begin January 1, 2021.
After graduating cum laude from Claremont McKenna College with a double major in History and Political Science, Tom went on to earn his law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law. Tom began his legal career as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Alfred A. Arraj at the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. He then spent several years as a Trade Regulation Attorney with Federal Trade Commission and served as Assistant Attorney General for the State of Colorado in the Tort Litigation and Regulatory Law Sections before joining Hall & Evans.
During his 43-year career, Tom gained an extensive background in employment, discrimination, federal civil rights matters, complex commercial litigation, claims involving Colorado public entities, and administrative law. Tom was AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and was admitted to the Colorado Bar, U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit.
Join us in wishing Tom all the best in retirement, and please do not hesitate to reach out to Hall & Evans with any legal matter you would have previously brought to Tom.
