Ryan C. Addis

Senior Associate

Ryan Addis’ practice focuses on the defense of premises liability, product liability, healthcare, construction, and public entity matters. He represents municipalities, contractors, and businesses throughout all phases of litigation in both state and federal court.

Mr. Addis also serves as a City Attorney for the City of Columbus, Montana, where he prosecutes misdemeanors and provides counsel to City officials regarding land use, personnel, zoning, contracts, and other City-related matters.  Previously, Mr. Addis was a Deputy County Attorney at the Yellowstone and Stillwater County Attorney’s Offices, where he prosecuted felony and misdemeanor crimes.

While earning his law degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, Mr. Addis was a part of an independent research project on the Supreme Court’s interpretive rule of mens rea of federal court statutes. Mr. Addis also was an Instructor at The Law and Leadership Institute, where he prepared students for mock trials and instructed on a wide variety of legal issues.

Edward A. Khatskin

Associate

Edward Khatskin focuses his practice on representing clients in high-dollar-value commercial and complex civil litigation matters in federal and state courts throughout Illinois and Missouri. Additionally, Mr. Khatskin has continuously obtained favorable results in defending claims involving medical malpractice, 42 U.S.C.§ 1983 civil rights, class action, wrongful death, personal injury, premises liability, transportation, employment, insurance coverage, toxic tort, and general civil and other tort claims.

Prior to law school, Mr. Khatskin worked as an accountant and owned a mortgage brokerage. This experience has helped him successfully represent clients in litigation involving the financial services and real estate industries, including cases with complex financial data, business valuation disputes, complex mechanic’s lien issues, quiet title actions, easements, boundary disputes, HOA and condominium disputes, and alleged realtor and title company negligence.

John F. “Jack” Peters

Member

Jack Peters is a trial and appellate litigator. He has first chaired over fifty jury trials, tried cases to judges and arbitrators, and handled multiple appeals to state and federal appellate courts. His practice focuses on the defense of civil rights and other claims against public entities; representing school districts in a wide variety of claims, including Title IX, Title VI, IDEA, and Section 504; labor and employment litigation and counseling; administrative complaints before state and federal regulatory bodies; professional liability claims against real estate brokers and medical professionals; probate, guardianship, and other fiduciary litigation; and general commercial litigation, including securities fraud and contract disputes, including real estate broker commission disputes.

Before joining Hall and Evans, Mr. Peters was a prosecutor in Boulder County where he tried dozens of cases to verdict, handled extensive appellate work, and supervised the District Attorney’s Office law clerks. Mr. Peters graduated from Vermont Law School magna cum laude in the top 5% of his class. He served as articles editor of the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law, worked in the chambers of Justice Denise Johnson of the Vermont Supreme Court, and was a summer associate in the Shanghai office of an international law firm. He continues to mentor law students and is actively involved in the legal community. Before law school, Mr. Peters was a licensed real estate salesperson in New York City and a middle school teacher in Denver.

Jordan Brickman

Associate

Jordan Brickman centers her practice on civil litigation and insurance defense. Ms. Brickman also defends employers facing claims of employment discrimination and retaliation litigation as well as issues concerning compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and Colorado wage and hour requirements.

Prior to joining Hall & Evans, Ms. Brickman practiced employment law and family law at small Denver firms. While attending the University of Oklahoma College of Law, Ms. Brickman was a member of the Dean’s Leadership Council and a licensed legal intern with the OU Legal Clinic, where she received the award for Distinguished Clinic Intern.

Greyson D. Hill

Associate

Greyson Hill joined Hall & Evans, LLC as an Associate in 2022. Mr. Hill represents individuals, businesses, and insurers in all types of civil litigation defense throughout Montana. He is currently involved in cases concerning premises liability, products liability, public entity defense, and general tort defense.

While attending law school, Mr. Hill was an intern with Hall & Evans, where he worked on a variety of civil defense matters including products liability and public entity defense. He also interned with the County Attorney’s Office in Missoula County, Montana, where he gained courtroom experience assisting in criminal prosecutions. Additionally, Mr. Hill volunteered with the Montana Legal Services Association Housing Justice Project, where he worked extensively with clients to settle landlord-tenant disputes. Prior to law school, Mr. Hill served as a Deputy Clerk of Court with the 13th Judicial District Court in Yellowstone County, Montana. Mr. Hill received his JD from the University of Montana’s Alexander Blewett III School of Law and received his BA in Political Science with high honors from the University of Montana.
