Austin D. Huff

Associate

Austin Huff concentrates his practice in construction and design, real estate, land and mineral rights, and regulatory law.  He represents clients in state in federal courts across Colorado, Wyoming, and Idaho, as well as on appeal at the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.  Mr. Huff recently relocated from Idaho where he represented individuals and small businesses in a wide variety of consumer law disputes. Previously, he was an attorney with the Wyoming Public Service Commission where he ensured multi-state utility companies abided by relevant statutory and regulatory mandates, worked to resolve disputes, and advised appointed commissioners.

Mr. Huff earned his JD from the University of Wyoming College of Law while also earning a Master’s in Environment and Natural Resources from the University of Wyoming Haub School.  While in law school, Mr. Huff was named to the Dean’s List and he received the Ellbogen International Human Rights Law Scholarship that funded an internship at an human rights organization in Cambodia.  He also worked as an intern with the Department of Interior Solicitor’s office in Denver, Colorado, and was a student attorney with the University of Wyoming’s Natural Resources Clinic and Human Rights Clinic.

Robin Koogler

Associate

Robin Koogler’s practice centers on the defense of transportation, premises liability, and administrative and regulatory matters. She is also experienced in employment discrimination litigation and environmental and urban land use law. Prior to Hall & Evans, Ms. Koogler practiced employment law at a small civil rights firm in Kansas City.

Ms. Koogler earned her JD with an emphasis in Environmental Law and Urban Land Use from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law. While in law school, she was a member of the UMKC Law Review, an editor of “The Urban Lawyer,” and received Pro Bono Honors. She also served as an intern with the Environmental Protection Agency, a law clerk with The Great Rivers Environmental Law Center, and clerked with several boutique Kansas City law firms.

Ronald E. Neroda

Member

Ronald Neroda’s practice focuses on the defense of civil cases involving medical malpractice, nursing homes, long-term care and rehabilitation facilities, correctional healthcare providers, asbestos and toxic torts, civil rights claims, premises liability, and employment practices.

Mr. Neroda has extensive experience representing and advising medical providers, hospitals, dentists, and nursing home and in-home care providers in complex malpractice matters. He also frequently works with clients in the retail and restaurant industries on premises liability and dram shop actions. He also represents various industries in cases that involve toxic exposure.

Mr. Neroda has successfully defended clients through all phases of litigation including trial, pretrial, mediation and arbitration. In addition to his litigation practice, he also regularly advises clients on employment practices and policies and procedures to reduce company risk.

Emma K. Knight

Senior Associate

Emma Knight’s practice focuses on insurance defense and civil litigation.  Ms. Knight is experienced with all phases of litigation related to motor vehicle accidents, premises liability actions, construction defect claims, and dram shop actions.  In the insurance arena, she frequently defends carriers facing claims of UM/UIM breach of contract, common law bad faith, and statutory bad faith.  Ms. Knight is also experienced in the energy and natural resources industry, having counseled individuals and businesses on issues related to surface and mineral rights and oil and gas estates.

While attending the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, Ms. Knight was a Staff Editor for the Transportation Law Journal and Service Coordinator for the National Renewable Energy Law Society.  In addition to a Juris Doctorate degree, Ms. Knight earned a Master of Resources Law Studies specializing in Sustainable Development and Renewable Energy Law and Policy and Environmental Law and Policy.

Brooke A. Churchman

Brooke Churchman’s practice centers on civil litigation with matters involving transportation, premises liability, gig economy, employment, oil and gas, professional liability, and insurance.  Ms. Churchman recently relocated to Colorado after practicing civil litigation in Austin, Texas.  Before entering private practice, she served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Judge Raymond Moore in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and as Assistant General Counsel with the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety.

Ms. Churchman graduated with the highest honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Law where she was a Research Editor for the Oklahoma Law Review, and a member of the USD National Criminal Procedure Team and the John J. Gibbons National Moot Court Team.  While earning her degree, Ms. Churchman was awarded the Cole E.
