Robin Koogler

Associate

Robin Koogler’s practice centers on the defense of transportation, premises liability, and administrative and regulatory matters. She is also experienced in employment discrimination litigation and environmental and urban land use law. Prior to Hall & Evans, Ms. Koogler practiced employment law at a small civil rights firm in Kansas City.

Ms. Koogler earned her JD with an emphasis in Environmental Law and Urban Land Use from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law. While in law school, she was a member of the UMKC Law Review, an editor of “The Urban Lawyer,” and received Pro Bono Honors. She also served as an intern with the Environmental Protection Agency, a law clerk with The Great Rivers Environmental Law Center, and clerked with several boutique Kansas City law firms.

Erin E. Snow

Counsel

Erin Snow focuses on Colorado’s government affairs and regulatory issues important to her clients.  With over a decade of legislative experience, Ms. Snow provides counsel to a wide variety of businesses, nonprofits, and insurers before the Colorado General Assembly and the Division of Insurance.

Before joining Hall & Evans, Ms. Snow was an elected leadership development coach and education policy program leader for a non-profit supporting a national network of civic leaders to end educational inequity.  Previously, she served as Legislative Counsel for U.S. Representative Beto O’Rourke, where she advised on veterans’ affairs, education, voting rights, campaign finance, and immigration.  As Staff Director for the U.S. House of Representatives Veterans’ Affairs Economic Opportunity Subcommittee, she drafted and managed legislative priorities at the federal level and oversaw VA and Department of Labor programs. Locally, Ms. Snow served as Policy Director for a former Colorado Senator and congressional candidate, a Consultant for the Colorado Department of Education & Donnell-Kay Foundation, and a Legal Fellow for a Colorado Senator. Before going to law school, she taught 7th grade English in Los Angeles, California as a Teach For America corps member.

Jared R. Ellis

Member

Jared Ellis focuses his practice on professional liability, personal injury, and complex civil litigation. Mr. Ellis defends lawyers, physicians, healthcare professionals, healthcare institutions, and assisted living facilities in professional liability matters. He represents public entities, companies and individuals in cases involving allegations of negligence, including automobile accidents and premises liability matters, allegations of breach of fiduciary duty, intentional tort claims, including claims of fraud and conspiracy, and breach of contract actions.  He also represents companies and individuals in civil cases based on alleged statutory violations, including alleged violations of 42 U.S.C. § 1983, the Colorado Consumer Protection Act, Colorado Organized Crime Control Act, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, (“RICO”).  He represents clients before state and federal courts, the Colorado Court of Appeals, and the Tenth Circuit. Mr. Ellis also represents professionals in administrative proceedings before the Colorado Medical Board, Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies Division of Professions and Occupations, and Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel.

Mr. Ellis formerly served as the Chair of the Lawyers Professional Liability Committee of the Colorado Bar Association and Chair of the Medical Malpractice Subcommittee of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association.  He has taught CLE courses on professional liability matters.  Before joining Hall & Evans, Mr. Ellis practiced at a boutique professional liability defense firm, served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert D. Hawthorne with the Colorado Court of Appeals, and to the Honorable Leland P. Anderson, with the First Judicial District in Golden, Colorado.

Chad K. Gillam

Chad Gillam is a health care lawyer and trial lawyer. He represents health care providers in all aspects of their practices.  Chad has represented individual providers and entities such as hospitals, health care institutions, pharmacies, clinics, surgery centers, long-term care facilities, and correctional care companies in defense of lawsuits and in investigation and defense of claims across Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and Wyoming. Chad defends physicians, mental health professionals, nurses, and allied health providers before regulatory agencies and licensing boards.  Chad regularly consults clients regarding licensing matters, credentialing, regulatory compliance, HIPAA Privacy and Security, employment, staffing and retention issues, corporate practice, risk management, patient safety and incident investigation. Chad represents hospitals and physicians regarding medical staff issues, investigations, disciplinary matters, clinical privileges, peer review, and fair hearings. 

Chad also represents plaintiffs and defendants in civil rights matters, privacy issues, and general liability litigation. 

Chad is a frequent lecturer and presenter on a variety of mental health and medical legal issues, health care regulation, and litigation topics.  He is proud to be a former Board Member of the Maria Droste Counseling Center, a non-profit organization serving the people of Colorado by providing mental health care in schools, and to individual, families, child abuse victims, and victims of domestic violence, regardless of their ability to pay.
