Following Hall & Evans, LLC’s ranking in the 2021 Edition of U.S. News – Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms,” Matthew Ninneman was contacted for comments included in the recent Law Week Colorado article, “Best Lawyers: Construction & Real Estate” regarding what affects the pandemic is having on Colorado real estate and construction. Ninneman is recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® for both Construction Law and Construction Litigation.
Ninneman discusses the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the construction and real estate industry and those who focus their practice on those two areas. He states that though the pandemic has affected all businesses, both the construction and real estate industries have continued to be very busy. He goes on to state that the current economic downturn looks very different than the one in 2008 that included more litigation relating to failed projects, collapsed companies, and unpaid situations. This time, however, banks are continuing to lend money, developers are proceeding with projects, and real estate transactions going through as normal.
Ninneman credits the new safety measures adopted by both industries as being one of the main reasons that work has continued at a steady pace, saying “We just continue to see more momentum moving through those projects.”
