James C. Worthen recently moderated the opening plenary session of ALFA International’s 2019 International Client Seminar in Dana Point, California. Worthen’s panel titled “Game On: A Debate on #MeToo and its Impact on Business, Social Equality, and Due Process of Law,” consisted of four other ALFA International attorneys as well as in-house counsel for Beach Body and Manitou Americas. Presented in debate format, the panel was fast-paced, interactive, and a thought-provoking discussion on the #MeToo movement and its complex and divisive array of legal, business, and social issues for multi-national corporations, small business and governmental entities, non-profits, educational institutions, legislative bodies, and the courts. The opening plenary session of the International Client Seminar is the largest event hosted by ALFA International, and was attended by more than 110 in-house counsel and 150 ALFA International attorneys.
