Benton Barton will update his annual in-house risk management presentation for architects and engineers on Tuesday, September 17. This year’s program, “Risky Business: Contracts From Beginning To End” will be presented in-person in Denver, Colorado and virtually.
This free presentation for design professionals will walk through contract fundamentals and their relevance at every stage of the project. Andrew Treloar, Senior Claim Counsel with Travelers, will be co-presenting. Mr. Treloar and Mr. Barton will discuss the importance of effective contract language before a project begins, why it’s wise to refer to the contract during the project, best practices for communicating with project parties, and contract clauses to flag at the end of a project. Attendees will hear real-world design and contract issues and how they can impact the design professional, the client, and the project.
