It is with mixed emotions we announce that David E. Leavenworth has retired after 27 years as an attorney and 42 years as an architect. David joined Hall & Evans 23 years ago and his well-deserved retirement began January 1, 2024.
After graduating from Middlebury College with a Bachelor’s in History, David earned a Master’s of Architecture from the University of Colorado. David spent over twenty years as an architect with the State of Colorado, Boulder County, and the Colorado School of Mines. He then went on to get his law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in the Order of St. Ives.
David gained an extensive background focused on construction law, including litigation, contracts, and counseling for owners, contractors, and design professionals. He also handled general commercial litigation and real estate matters.
David was Notable Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and was admitted to the Colorado Bar and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit and Federal Circuit.
