Benton Barton will be speaking at the “Contracting for Projects Large and Small” presentation at Hall & Evans’ Denver office on Wednesday, April 24th. Barbara Sable, a national risk management consultant with RLI Design Professionals, will also be speaking. For most design professionals, negotiating a professional services agreement is not the best part of a project. Some “solve” that problem by not having a contract at all, but we all know that is not an ideal solution. This presentation will provide considerations on writing contracts for all projects—from the smallest to the largest. Ms. Sable and Mr. Barton will discuss contract clauses such as limitation of liability, indemnity, shifting risk, and how projects and claims vary by location.
